Juanjo Durán

Campos, Mallorca (1974). She studied film and television at the CEF (Centro de Estudios Fotográficos), when she wrote “Historias de un toilet” directed by Sofía Franco and won the best short film award at the 6th Europfilm short film festival.

It is known vulgarly as Juanjo Gore for his love of horror films, which is why he writes and directs 6 short films between 2003 and 2011 and embarks on the feature film project “Mallorca Zombie”, being the author of the segment entitled “Alma Zombie” . In 2015 he writes “La segunda cita” produced by SIE PRODUCTIONS in Chile and directed by Yerko Espinoza.

With over ten years of experience in both film and television as a filmmaker, camera operator, editor and screenwriter on IB3 television, Singular Audiovisual, Plural Entertainment, Animus, S’Esclop or Mallorquin Factor.

Finalist of the II and IV Teatre de Barra contest with the works “El encargo” and “Max” respectively and finalist of the I Talento Cine365Film contest with the screenplay script entitled “Miedo”.

In narrative, he is the author of “La muerte es ella”, a compilation of ten short stories published in November 2013 by Flamma Editorial (ebook) and “De amor y muerte”, published in April 2014 by the publisher Moixonia Edicions.

The works of microteatro “El Encargo” and “Max” have been published by Órbita Editorial.

His current efforts are focused on raising two feature film projects and publishing his second novel; a critical and acid review of how Spain would react to a zombie apocalypse.
