Ernest Gil

Ernest Gil has a degree in audiovisual communication, a postgraduate degree in script for feature films and a master’s degree in film directing; all of them from the ESCAC.

Ernest has worked as the first assistant director in the series “Merlí” and “Benvinguts a la família” of TV3. He has also worked as a second assistant director on the series “Nit i Dia” or “El Crac”, also on TV3. Other films where he has participated as second assistant are “La vida lliure” by Marc Recha, “Cervantes contra Lope” by TVE or “FASSMAN, the incredible radar man” of TV3 and TVE.

In addition, Ernest has also developed his career as a screenwriter and director. As a screenwriter, the short film “INDIRIZZO” is nominated, among others, at the Malaga Festival 2012 and at the New Autorship of the Sitges Festival.

As a filmmaker, his documentary “Ai Quaquín, the documentary!” Co-directed with Maria Ferrer has been one of the most joyful of them. It was issued by [M] and the City Council of Manacor made an edition of 500 DVDs.

Currently, he combines his task as a film and television technician with the script of his first feature film.
